Honing her craft while living in New York City’s legendary Chelsea Hotel, artist Amelia Kallman’s collage and assemblage art is internationally acclaimed for being sexy, subversive, and funny. From her sold-out collection of Miss Amelia Showgirl Action Figures to her first solo exhibition, Tassology: The World’s Largest Pastie Collection Part V in Shanghai’s Art Labor gallery, Amelia’s work has been featured in The Telegraph, The Washington Post, and on the BBC. Since relocating to the UK, she has enjoyed two solo exhibitions at Nude Gallery in Central London, and participated in group exhibitions at the Ben Oakley Gallery. Recently, her original, one-off, cut-and-paste collages made from recycled paper materials have been commissioned by collectors in the USA, Kenya, and Australia. When she’s not collaging, Amelia is working towards completing her third book that aims to reclaim forgotten female and queer history, currently titled The Remarkable Women of the Chelsea Hotel.
